Some in the list include Paint Shop Pro, Canvas and CorelDRAW Essentials. Regardless, I'd rather pay $129 for a legit Corel12 upgrade and get all the discs, fonts, manuals and eligibility for technical support rather than get stuck with a dead end version just to save $30.įrankly I'm surprised at how many applications are listed on the qualifications sheet to be eligible for the CorelDRAW 12 upgrade. Not sure if Corel falls into that category. Many cannot be upgraded using normal retail packages. Also beware of lots of academic software. Still trying to figure out if CorelDRAW Essentials 2 will trace or vector? I guess and then save as a plot able picture? Is this how I should go about this or is there another way? Even in Corel I get the jaggeys, and way to many nodes so I was hoping a new version would help smooth things out.Įxcuse my ignorance, but when I want to plot a picture, I use the Trace tool on all the lines that I want and then remove the bitmap, then export it as a postscript file to bring into Flexi. Unfortunately it didn’t do as well tracing as Corel 3 does but then, I might be doing something wrong. Thanks Trever, I downloaded the vectrasoft demo and it looks pretty powerful. Currently about $70.oo for the full version.īasically all I want to do is be able to trace a picture so I can plot it. I’m wondering if Corel 12 would actually recognize it and allow for the upgrade version.ĬorelDRAW Essentials 2, I guess, is maybe version 11, released in 2003 or so. I loaded it yesterday and beleave it or not it works in Win Xp… I have an old version of Corel Draw, version 3.0 from the old old days.
